On 12–13 October 2026, Bratislava hosted a meeting of the V4 Quality Assurance Forum (V4QA Forum), bringing together representatives of the accreditation agencies of the Visegrád Four countries. SAAHE, which took over the chairmanship of the forum this year, hosted partner agencies from the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.
The V4QA Forum brings together the following accreditation agencies:
Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education – SAAHE
National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education (NAB)
Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB)
PKA – Polska Komisja Akredytacyjna
During this year’s meeting, representatives of the agencies exchanged information on current developments and changes in higher education in their respective countries. The discussion also focused on the forthcoming European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ESG 2027), cross-border quality assurance within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the European Approach to Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes, and the European Degree Label (EDL).
A key moment of the meeting was the signing of an updated Memorandum of Understanding, through which the partner agencies confirmed their interest in continuing to develop cooperation within the V4QA Forum.
