The year 2025 saw the completion of the first ever systematic evaluation of quality assurance in higher education in Slovakia according to international standards. Of the 33 higher education institutions assessed, 27 demonstrated compliance with European standards, while the agency imposed corrective measures on the others. The evaluations also provided the schools with more than 1,600 specific recommendations for improvement and dozens of examples of good practice, which represent a valuable resource for the further development of higher education.
